It was late at night, I just got into ft lauderdale and was hungry. I looked yelp to find Chinese take out and found this place. At 10:40 I called and asked if it was too late to order and the guy said no and took my order. I ordered broccoli beef with fried rice and navigate my way to this place. Driving from las olas to this place wasn't easy. From my navigation, it shows it takes 10 minutes but actually took longer than that. When I finally found this place it's tucked away in a shopping plaza. If u don't look careful u will definitely miss it and I guess that's not all that bad. LOL. When I got home, the broccoli beef smelled very good but where is the beef? It's mostly broccoli. It was good. The fried rice was very good. Fried rice Aline is worth coming here for. I have to try other things but if they load up with veggies and not enough protein then I won't go back.

I had lunch there the other day. I paid $7.26 and got hot and sour soup, Hunan chicken, and a bottled water. It was plenty for two people, especially if you are older like me. It was quite tasty and satisfying. When I go back, it will be for carry out. The seating is ok if you have to eat there. The flimsy plastic utensils were designed to make eating miserable.

Ordered home delivery as new to the area. Had wonderful egg rolls :) got the sesame chicken because I was a little nervous that the general tsos might be too spicy but I think I will try it next time. Perfect sized chicken pieces! Very good tasting sweet pieces just wouldn't mind to try general tsos Next time! Very convenient! Boyfriend had the beef fried rice and said it was good too. * Updated: We ordered again last week and I got general tsos... SO GOOD!!! Totally getting that every time.. loved it :) My boyfriend got the Beef with snow peas and was very happy as well.

First time here ordered cashew chicken with white meat, Kung pao chicken white meat, crispy beef with orange sauce, chicken lo Mein, egg drop soup and 2 egg rolls and a coconut water. Every dish came with a lot of sauce which was great because I forgot to ask for extra. The man at the counter was really friendly. Probably one of the better Chinese restaurant in south Florida. The ones near my house all are horrible. Two thumb up!

Yet another New Yorker living in Florida who has found a Chinese restaurant! The egg rolls are really great! I ordered won ton soup- it was okay. Shrimp lo mien- 3 stars. Overall, food is good enough to get your fix. Delivery did take over an hour, which was a bummer.

Called ahead, asked for lunch special that, on the menu, specifies pork fried rice and choice of soup or egg roll. When placing the order, the gentleman also asked me if I wanted pork fried rice and asked me if I wanted soup or egg roll so I chose egg roll. Went to pick up my lunch (because delivery is 3 bucks) and when I'm finally ready to eat, NO EGG ROLL! also, the "fried rice" was steamed rice (yellowish, but not fried) with blackened onions. I was very disappointed, will not order from there ever again.

Good food! Clean restaurant, but your typical Chinese customer service....Hurry and pick a number meal and don't talk to me because i don't want to talk to you or I can't understand you?

Not sure why everyone is raving. Just had delivery, pretty ordinary. Nothing wrong, just lacked flavor and pizazz. Maybe my expectations are just too high. Wonton soup was okay, lacked flavor and the wontons were just ok. House special fried rice was nothing special, again lacked flavor. Shrimp in garlic sauce was fine but again lacked flavor. I guess I am spoiled but I cannot find a really good chinese restaurant here in ft lauderdale.

Been here three times while working in the area over the last few months. Tried several dishes. Personal favs: 1)Crab Rangoon (ordered each time) - tasty, sweet and doesn't require any sauce. Made perfect every time. 2)Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. Whole family loves this dish. No brown gravy needed. Flavorful on its own 3)Crispy Orange Beef with fried rice (my kids love, love, love this!) Not SF or NYC but pretty darn close for FL. Will be back soon!

When I first moved the Fort Lauderdale, I loved this place. It was great in every way. They they started getting chincy with the ingredients. And I hated the girl they had working the counter. So cold and unfriendly. Several tries, and I just stopped getting food here. It went from great to bad in about 3 years.

Placed my order based off of what I saw on their site. When the prices didn't add up I called back and was told that they only paid someone to do the site but don't update it?! $5.25 rangoons were really $5.95, $11.95 orange chicken is really $12.95. And they don't volunteer the $2.50 delivery charge, I just happened to ask. Food came in just over 45min and man was Caucasian and spoke English and the person answering the phone when I called the second time spoke perfect English as well which was a plus. Rangoons don't come with sweet and sour sauce but filling is sweet and they are good. But the $13 Orange Chicken?! Horrible! Soggy breading, sauce is not good, taste like old dark meat chicken inside. I ate 3 or 4 bites and stuck in fridge in hotel room. They delivered to the W Hotel which is 3.1mi away. Delivery person dropped off menu with order which did have the correct prices I was charged. But on the front it says Free 2 Egg Roll with purchase of $15 or more. I just paid $22.53 + plus tip and didn't even get napkins!! Thankfully I did get 2 fortune cookies!...and 2 packets each of hot mustard, soy sauce and duck sauce which I used none of.

My five stars here are relative to the rest of South Florida. I don't think it's fair to hold any Chinese food restaurant to the standards of my homeland. (NJ / NYC area) This is the only Chinese food takeout restaurant that has even come close to what I'm used to. I couldn't help but be angered by some of the negative reviews, but I don't think that a lot of them gave this place a fair crack. Firstly, the Orange Beef rules! None like it that I've found locally. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce is perfect! Crab Rangoons are on point! Seriously, if you're looking for Rangoons, look no further. Also, General Tso's chicken, Dried Dumplings, Egg Foo Yung, and Honey Garlic Chicken are all great. I happen to love coconut water and believe me, this place is always fully stocked on coconut water for some reason. I really am not sure why, but I like it.

Nothing spectacular about this place. We placed our order in person and it took about 15 minutes to prepare. They have a couple tables inside to eat at or wait for your order. They are mainly carryout. We ordered the pork egg foo young. It was okay, but I have had better. The other dishes were also just okay. We ordered three meals and received 2 buckets of white rice and three fortune cookies. We also had the hot and sour soup. This was good and had a lot of mushrooms in it. Not too spicy. There is plenty of parking out front in the attached parking lot. On Saturday and Sunday's at noon the place is full of cruise ship employees using the free wifi and grabbing a quick meal. I would try other Chinese places before I go back here.

Great food, and delivery was quick every time I used them. Love the sesame chicken combo and also the house fried rice. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I'm giving this 4 stars only because it's up against the other Chinese food joints in south florida. I'm from NJ where Chinese food is really important. And really good, for that matter. I didn't realize how much taste and quality of Chinese food would diminish when I moved down. I'm so disappointed by it. It took me a good 2 years to find this place and it's the only one I can honestly say does an okay job which is more than I can say for the other establishments. I do like how well they speak English because I can have a real conversation about certain dishes and what to expect without sacrificing the language barrier.

We order from here a lot but when you order sweet and sour chicken the order is not complete without the sour we called and sitting here waiting . Got here way too late but it's first problem .good save

Best General Tao chicken in Lauderdale. Make sure to ask for a lot of sauce. They tend to deliver it w/ very little. Great Beef w/ Garlic sauce -again ask for a lot of sauce. Its delicious. Lo mein is good - not the best, but certainly better than 90% of places. I definitely reccomend this place.

I have been going to this place for a longgggg time, way before I became a "yelper" I love Chinese food and I can eat it every single day! My husband thinks I am strange for that, but oh well! So I love general Taos chicken! I usually get that or the honey garlic wings. Talk about delicious!!!!! The crab ragoons are delish as well! It's a typical carry out, nothing fancy. I am not sure y ppl gave them bad reviews, but I have been going there for years and have really enjoyed the food.

Loved the wonton soup, General Tzo's chicken was great too. The only thing that needs help is the pork fried rice.

Sam has been going to this Chinese take out place for years and has always loved it. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to try a Chinese take out place as I already have a few that I frequent that are close to my apartment. We just so happened to be in the neighborhood this past weekend, so Sam convinced me to try the place out. When we got there I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. In fact it took me forever to decide as they have so many options like any other Chinese take out place. I ended up getting orange chicken- a dish I tend to order when I don't know what I want, and Sam got the orange beef- his favorite. We also ordered crab rangoon to share and Sam got a small egg drop soup. The food took a pretty long time to be ready, but I'm ok with this as it means it has been freshly cooked and not just reheated. Once we got our food we took off for home as we were both starving. I couldn't wait to eat the crab rangoons so I begged Sam to let me eat them in his car. At first he said no, but then I convinced him that he really wanted to eat them right then and there too. Oh God were they amazing. They were perfectly crispy and sweet. They didn't come with a dipping sauce, nor did they need one. We finished the bag of 8 on the drive home. Once home, we dove into the food. Sam loved his soup and orange beef and I thoroughly enjoyed my orange chicken. The chicken was so crispy and the sauce was pretty damn awesome. My only complaint is that there were too many pieces of mandarin orange rind in the sauce. I understand that they are edible and they add flavor to the sauce, but I just don't like them. It's a textural thing I guess. Overall the food was great. They give you really large portions (my meal became 2 large meals) for a decent price. The orange chicken was just under $14. If I'm ever in the neighborhood and hungry, I'll definitely be back.

Bland. No flavor whatsoever. I'm sure they've only been able to stay in business because of the cruises and hotels.

As the stars say I've had better. Ordered from here cause it was close to the hotel. Food was okay but not great.

It's not bad but it's far from good. Lots of food and cheap. That's good for a lot of people. Over-starched sauces and too much salt is the other side. There's way better in Broward but you'll have to put taste ahead of value per pound of food.

We are staying at a hotel by the airport, 5 miles from them and they say they don't deliver to this Zip code! Are they serious? Court yard by Marriott 400 Gulf Stream Way Dania Beach, FL 33004 Map it!

Tried a few different restaurants around the area. The food was not bad but have had better close to that location.

Bland, tasteless and definitely not NY Chinese and actually, not even Chinese. We had take-out last night. Hot and Sour was just corn starch thickened stock with a scant variety of vegetables. No flavor whatsoever! The egg rolls are small and empty. Garlic chicken: garlic powder, sugar and the same brown sauce that is the base of every dish! Hunan Chicken: the same as Garlic chicken but the Brown Sauce is less 'doctored'. Every dish has the exact same vegetables (which are fresh). The chefs are not from China. The delivery can be refused if they think the amount is too small so they won't get a big enough tip (they told us)... Really really really white bread Chinese. Go to a corner takeout -ugh!

It took an hour and a half to get our cold food delivered. It took another half hour to get the remainder of our order delivered. When I called to order, it took about ten minutes and the woman who took my order was extremely rude. The delivery driver eventually showed up with my incomplete order, shoved the bag at me without a word and left. According to the manager when I called she had a bad day. After we reheated our food, it was okay but not worth the wait. Also, we only got one fortune cookie.

Used to be my favorite now food lacks flavor and one of the workers had their shoes off at the table, made me want to vomit.

Best Chinese take out in the area. After many attempts at other establishment this place as become our old-faithful. Awesome Hot-sour soup and general tso chicken.

  • Delvia W.

I ordered from here Oct 18. I ordered wings and chicken lo mein. When the food finally arrived, we were charged a delivery fee of $2.50 which does not go to the delivery driver and the restaurant does not tell you that when ordering, so the driver is looking for a tip also. I was upset about that. The food was bland. I won't order from there again if I'm ever in town. I should have ordered from the Asian restaurant inside the Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina. Delicious!!

Ate here once when it was very hot/humid outside. It was hot/humid inside the takeout place as well due to lack of AC. So we ended up eating our food outside and sweating it off at the same time. There was nothing special about the food. The lunch specials are way overpriced for the quality.

The lady at the counter was extremely rude after my Mom & I ordered a lunch combo to share, along with a hot & sour soup for each of us. We wanted to eat light after a buffet breakfast at the Marriott (where we tipped 35%). This is not a sit down restaurant so there was no reason for her to get upset, especially since we treated her kindly. The spitefulness continued when I gently asked for a 2nd styrofoam plate. She responded, "get it yourself". Needless to say we won't be coming back. Who's loss? Not ours, because that hot & sour soup was nasty!

When I moved to Florida from Northern VA I was searching for good chinese food. I did not find any while living in Dania Beach until I found this place. Most Chinese food places I was getting has the white sauce for their chicken and broccoli. New Hong Kong uses the proper brown sauce which is how the chefs in NYC and other places use. Their C&B was absolutely fantastic. Cooked just right. The broccoli had a nice crunch but wasn't undercooked. The chicken was cooked thoroughly. The egg drop soup was hot and had a nice flavor. The fried wontons were crunchy with flavor. I tried some other dishes from this spot and they all were tasty. I would recommend to anyone in the area. Downside, like most Ft. Lauderdale places, they charge a delivery fee of $2.50 which is the reason for 4 stars. If I am tipping $3/4 for delivery I don't want to be charged an extra $2.50 for delivery. Makes no sense.

Walked past this place around 11AM and there were a bunch of Asians getting food here. More than i have ever seen at any Chinese take out place so i had to get the food here. The food was awesome. My husband and i got the bbq chicken wings, kung pow chicken and some streamed broccoli. The veggies were nice and fresh and those bbq wings were crispy and just sweet enough. I highly recommend those wings if you like chicken wings on the sweeter side. so good...

I'm on vacation and Yelp-ed 'Chinese Food' at walking distance from my hotel. This was first on the list. I'm used to Chinese food that has more flavor (I live in Puerto Rico), but I liked this place. I guess the difference in taste has to do with the fact that in PR we don't really have a true Chinese place. But I digress, I liked this place because they prepared my food right on the spot and it was super fresh. I ordered a peppered steak with rice and BBQ ribs with broccoli. Very nice.

Having lived in Hollywood, I'd have to say that Hong Kong beats out every other Americanized-Chinese I've tried in Broward County. Whether you have the munchies, or just want something really fast, this is a place I'd recommend. Now, anytime I hit up for 'Chinese' (and I'm not talkin' about Dolphin fin), I never skip out on Fried chicken w/ pork fried rice combo. Down here, for some strange reason, I have yet to find quality pork fried rice - but Hong Kong does not upset. The price for chicken and fries/rice combo are bomb, I think $5.25? If you have a fast metabolism like I do, and are fiending' for Chinese, then hit up this joint.

Best Chinese delivery in Fort Lauderdale....seriously, I think I have tired them ALL. Get the spare ribs WITHOUT sauce and ask for plenty of the mustard packets and hot chili pepper oil. Shanghai Rice Noodles ARE THE BEST.... FAST DELIVERY!

  • Bruce T.

Would have been another star but felt the hot and sour soup was a little thin and a little too hot. The chicken in garlic sauce is great. The price for what you get is good value. Service was fast enough that it was ready and waiting for us by the time we drove the 2 miles to get there. From what we could see it was clean and bright and made us feel good about ordering here.

The rule for eating Chinese food is not to eat on small paper plates, it takes away the flavor. Don't have to worry about my buisness anymore.

    too expensive, no flavor.

  • Alan G.

I order here at least once a week. They deliver and have a useful system that stores my address info preventing me from having to give it every time. I haven't found better Chinese food in all of Fort Lauderdale. The steamed dumplings are superb and come with the most delicious sauce to dip them in. I usually get the Chicken Lo Mein which comes in a surprisingly large portion for the money. The noodles are always cooked perfectly and they don't skimp on the chicken. The pork fried rice is my second favorite thing on the menu. The pork is crisp and flavorful and comes in larger pieces in comparison to other fried rices I have tried. You cannot beat their egg-rolls either. The service on the phone is always friendly and their delivery driver Rob is really professional and always friendly and engages in conversation. Overall I don't think you will find a better Chinese delivery experience. Try this place out today, you can thank me later.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
